As cities across the US vie for consideration to host Amazon.com’s second headquarters (nicknamed “HQ2”), Detroit hopes to make the short list buoyed by the talent and innovations produced by Michigan’s research universities – Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.
